If a school wishes to use its large workroom copier/scanner to scan IO Assessment answer documents, these instructions will assist in the setup.
1) The scanner needs to be configured to scan to a network location that can be accessed by a computer that has IO Scan installed.
a. Some districts scan to email.
b. Some districts scan to a shared network folder.
c. Some districts scan to a flash drive and bring the scans over to the computer that has IO Scan installed.
2) The scanner must scan with 300x300 dpi.
3) The scanner must scan in the jpg format.
4) Once the sheets have been scanned/saved to their location, the user will do the rest of the work in IO Scan.
a) Open IO Scan and login with EADMS or IO Education credentials.
b) Go to File > Open, or click the Load Test icon ( ).
c) Select and open the file(s) of the scanned image(s) and click Scan. (This will
go through all images selected and process them into IO Assessment).
d) Edit scan sheets as necessary (potential misreads automatically pop up for
confirmation).
e) Delete/move the images that have been processed (so the next person
doesn’t re-process the images… though it doesn’t hurt if they do, it just takes
more time).
