Printing your GradeCam scan sheet
Click the Print Test Materials tile from the home page
OR
1. Click Testing
2. Click Print Test Materials
Find the test you need to print scan sheets for and make sure the Admin Type is set to Both or Scan Sheet. If the Admin Type is set to Online Only, you will not be able to print scan sheets.
Once done, click Print next to the Test ID.
Select the option Scan Sheets then click Print.
Make sure to read the warnings prior to printing to ensure your scan sheet loads correctly.
Under GradeCam Scanning, select the best option for your students then click Next.
Pre-ID GradeCam sheets will have student information filled out like the pictured example below. Generic GradeCam sheets will be blank and students will have to write in their information. Generic sheets are great for new students that need to test, but have not been added to the enrollment.
After selecting the scan sheet type, choose you student group then click Generate Scan Sheets.
The scan sheets will download into a file. Please open the file and review the scan sheets before printing.
You want to make sure the scan sheets is properly aligned. If you are having issues, please contact Support.
Scanning your GradeCam Scan Sheet
1. Click Testing
2. Click Scan With GradeCam
Click Scan next to the Test ID.
Once you click scan you may need to wait for your system to recognize your camera.
A black Grade Cam screen on the scanning page is normal and means the camera on the computer has not been engaged yet.
Camera image never populates:
» Refreshing the browser
» Closing and reopening the browser
» Double check to see if the camera is supported by Grade Cam
» Ensure the camera is directly connected to the computer NOT
routed through another piece of equipment
» Ensure the browser settings have the correct camera selected
(also refreshing browser after selecting appropriate camera)
» Checking if camera drivers are up to date
Scanning the Sheet:
Place the scan sheet in front of the camera.
» A Green box around the scanned image indicates a successful read
» A Yellow box indicates a box is detected but not read/aligned/focused/etc.
Poor alignment is mostly accounted for and accepted by the system.
Camera cannot/will not read the scan sheet:
» Adjusting light (too dark / too bright)
» Focusing the camera
» Change the distance of document from camera
» Change the angle the document is at
» Lamination may cause glare, adjust lighting and/or angle
Flagged errors:
Limited to improper and illegible bubbling.
» Improper bubbling (x’s on bubbles, lines through bubbles, etc.) prompts the system to NOT scan these sheets.
» A pop up will prompt and allow the user to select intended answer bubbles only when the bubbles are
illegible to the system (similar to the LSO system)
Show Results:
» The “Show Results” tab shows student responses and potential errors. Clicking this shows the entire selection of student’s responses during the current scanning session.
» Edits are to be made while scanning scan sheets because images are not retained and cannot be referenced again. For example, accidental double bubbles and not clearly erased answers can be adjusted at this time.
