Group Reports > Standards Based Reports
Narrow your test search with the Test Search field and drop-down menus, or broaden it by clicking No.
Find your test and click View Report.
Click the drop-down for Quick Options to toggle views.
Click Show Advanced to add demographics to the report, sort, etc. Remember to click Apply if you add demographics.
You can change the student group, change the tests selected, send the report to PDF or Excel, and save it for yourself and others.
Standard/Strand Summary
This report will summarize the scores and group them by standard (The Strand Summary report shows the same information for strands).
Key Questions
- How did your class perform on each respective standard or strand?
- Which standards or strands may need re-teaching or deeper instructional focus? Tip: You can change your result type.
Item Summary
This report shows:
- Percent Bands: Number and percent of students whose total percent correct fall into each band
- Distractor Summary: Percent of students choosing multiple choice item distractors (correct answers are bold)
- Details: Percent of students receiving full or partial credit for each item
Tip: You can change your result type.
By Standard
This report groups the test items by standard.
- On which standard(s) did students perform best? Why?
- On which standard(s) did students perform worst? Why?
- Were there enough items for a respective standard to get a true sample of student learning?
- How/when will you address/reteach low performing standards?
Tip: Click a Blue Item Number to view the respective question
Tip: Click the % to sort the columns in ascending or descending order.
By Item
This report shows the performance of the student group on each item/question.
1. On which item did the students perform best? Worst?
2. Did we teach the standard the way the question(s) assessed it?
3. Which standards may need re-teaching?
Tip: Click a Blue Item Number to view the respective question
Tip: Click the % to sort the columns in ascending or descending order.
Item Detail
This report shows each item itself as well as the distribution of students who chose the correct/incorrect answer.
1. How did students respond? What answers did they choose?
2. What distractors (wrong answers) were chosen by most students? Why?
3. How can the results be used to differentiate instruction?
4. What are instructional next steps?
Tip: You can click any of the percentages to see the students who chose that answer. The correct answer is bold. The distractor most frequently chosen is red.
Tip: Click View Passage when applicable.
Student Responses
This report shows your class roster with all of the student responses and rubric scores for constructed responses.
Key Questions
- What is a quick way to show my students how they did on each question?
- Can my students use this report formatively to revise and justify their answers?
Tip: Click List to generate slips you can cut and pass out to students. Click Yes to show standards info.
Student Performance
This report provides a full page of response data for each student.
- How did each student respond by item? By standard? . Can I see what they wrote for their constructed responses?
Intensive Focus
This report immediately identifies the weakest scoring strand, standard, and item from an assessment.
Key Questions
- I have no time to analyze deeply. On what did my students struggle most?
Best Practices
This report compares the performance of one teacher’s classroom with one or more others. It can be used as a tool to identify strategies used by instructors of high performing students.
- Who’s students scored the highest on each respective standard?
- What instructional strategies/techniques did this teacher use to achieve these high scores?
Classroom Comparison
This report shows class averages across a grade-level for each assessment item.
Key Questions
- How did Teacher A’s students perform on each item versus Teacher B’s students?
Tip: When selecting a student group before generating the report, don’t narrow down to one teacher. The idea is to compare teachers across a grade level.
Standards Performance
This report allows you to toggle from one standard to the next to see how your roster of kids scored.
Key Questions
- Can I see how students scored on all the items for each respective standard?
- On which standard do I need to spend more/less time instructing?
Tips:
- Toggle between standards in two ways.
- Decide how you want to display the page.
• Click Show Advanced to add demographics, sort, disaggregate, etc.
Resposive Distribution
This report shows one assessment item at a time and how it was answered across a grade level.
Key Questions
- How did students respond to each item across your class, site, and/or district?
Tip: You can narrow your view to a particular question type.
Tip: You can progress to the next item in two ways.
Tip: For multiple choice items, you can click this box to show the correct answer.
Tip: You can export to Excel. This button is located at the top-right of the results.
