These instructions are specifically for schools that are using the content filter iBoss and are having issues with certain aspects of online testing rendering correctly.
Several districts that are using the latest version of iBoss have experienced issues during online testing. These include (but are not limited to) tests timing out or getting stuck on certain questions. This issue can arise when tests were built using items from the item bank that were originally authored by Learnosity. Some of these questions don't load properly.
iBoss has recommended DNS redirection changes. They explained that this happens at times when companies used shared cloud servers. Essentially, the IP address is duplicated and some filters will reject the request.
How to Fix:
- Go into iBoss admin settings
- Go to Controls
- Go to Evasive Protocols
- Turn off Reverse DNS Lookup Support (This must be turned off for every group)
This is the current fix that we have tried. We tested 25 devices on 3 different tests without any major issues.
